Or the officials? Did I see something on twitter about a poor call of what should have been a goal?

Ball cross the line by 2ft but the ref didn't see it! About 50 thousand people in the stadium saw it!

Why not use instant replay.....would make things so much simpler. Refs have to feel awful when they watch clips after the game and see how badly they screwed up a call.

Oh yes of course, personal opinions and feelings should always rule when judging something, why use evidence available.....

I've always wondered the same thing, I didn't know it had been discussed formally by the FIFA. It's true sometimes refs make mistakes and must fel awful when they realise, but sometimes these "mistakes" are made deliberately, remember the 2002 World Cup Korea/Japan. I think the traditional method is simply more "convenient"...

2ft... trust a Southerner to think that that amount is 2 feet :)
